Hunts Cider – Bull Walloper – 7.2% – 35 pint bag in box

£50.00

The Hunt family have been making cider in Paignton, South Devon, since 1805.  This cider has been carefully made by Richard Hunt, an 8th generation cider maker, using his grandfather’s press installed in 1952.  Today, the family can now be found at Yalberton, but are still harvesting apples from the orchards that have nestled in the same quiet valley for more than 200 years.

Before the autumn cattle sales there would be Bull Wallopers calling on Mr. Hunt, “Ave ee some of the strong cider? Us had it ‘ere last year!” they’d ask, whilst eyeing his best cattle. This rich, medium-sweet cider always helped drive the bidding a little higher.
