The Hunt family have been making cider in Paignton, South Devon, since 1805.  This cider has been carefully made by Richard Hunt, an 8th generation cider maker, using his grandfather’s press installed in 1952.  Today, the family can now be found at Yalberton, but are still harvesting apples from the orchards that have nestled in the same quiet valley for more than 200 years.

On a clear night, when the moon is full the Barn Owls could be seen hunting the hillside above Hunt’s Farm. Their piercing shriek would make the men look up, “Barn Screecher” be hunting tonight beys, pass the Dry Cider.
