Our online shop just got a proper upgrade
We’ve spent some time making fetchthedrinks.com easier, faster and a bit more us. Here’s what’s changed, and why we think you’ll like it.
When you’re a small, family-run business, your website is often the first hello. So we wanted ours to feel less like a checkout and more like walking into a good bottle shop where someone actually knows their stuff. We’ve just rolled out a big update to the online shop, and here’s the short version of what’s new.
Buying is quicker, and the barriers are gone
The biggest change is at the checkout. It’s smoother, it’s more secure, and you can now buy as a guest or set up an account, whichever suits you. If you just want to grab a case and go, you can. If you’d rather have an account so reordering your favourites takes seconds next time, that’s there too. No hoops, no faff.
Everything we sell is genuine craft from small, independent producers: cider, beer and alcohol-free, all in one place. So whether you’re stocking up for a party with a few bag-in-boxes, or just restocking the fridge with bottles and cases for the week, it’s now a much easier job.
Free Click & Collect from Southbourne or Whitecliff
We’ve added Click & Collect. Order online, then pick it up free from Southbourne in Bournemouth or Whitecliff in Poole, with no delivery cost at all. Handy if you’re passing, or if you’d just rather pop in and say hello.
And of course, we still bring it straight to your door. If you’re local to Bournemouth, that delivery is free. It’s one of the perks of us being just down the road rather than a warehouse three counties away.
Easier to find your next favourite
We’ve also made browsing a lot friendlier. You can now shop by producer if there’s a maker you already love, or by style if you fancy exploring: a crisp dry cider, a hoppy pale, a good alcohol-free option for the week ahead. Half the fun of what we do is the discovery, and the shop now gets out of the way and lets you get on with it.
Still very much us
The rest of it is a refresh in feel. It looks a little warmer, reads a little more personal, and hopefully makes it clearer that there are real people behind every order. Because there are. We’re a family business, not a faceless retailer, and every order genuinely matters to us. We notice each one, and we pack it like we’d want ours packed.
That part hasn’t changed and never will. The website’s just caught up with how we like to do things.
