Dorset Nectar is an orchard farm run as a family business by Oliver, Penny and their 5 children. As well as producing award winning artisan cider and natural apple cider vinegar they have pastured hens roaming between the apple trees in the orchard producing free range organic eggs.
The sun ripened apples are whole crushed and pressed at the orchard’s cider barn near Bridport, then patiently nurtured to create a smooth, delicious cider that is fruity in taste and bursting with flavour. To retain the crisp and fresh character of the cider, nearing the end of fermentation, they rack their ciders into new barrels, ensuring a wealth of flavour. Natural, wild yeasts are used to craft these unique ciders and the apples are grown without pesticides; the cider is certified Organic, using no sulphites.

Born out of a passion for making cider in the best possible way, combined with belief in the quality of Scottish produce, and asking ‘why not?’, came Thistly Cross Cider; Scotland’s award winning farmhouse ciders. Established as a collaboration between farmer, Ian Rennie, and artist-turned-cidermaker, Peter Stuart, in 2008, Thistly Cross has gained a reputation for making ciders that people rave about.
Based at the Cider Shed on South Belton Farm, in the heart of the East Lothian countryside, they are involved in every aspect of making their award-winning Scottish farmhouse cider. From pressing the Scottish apples and strawberries, to achieving the smooth, balanced Thistly Cross flavour by fermenting with Champagne yeast then maturing for six months; they’ve invested at every step of the cider-making process, from apple to cider.
This flavoursome Elderflower Cider packs a serious taste punch blended with fresh elderflowers and left to mature for 6 months to give balance and smoothness. With a rich caramel colour, it has a fruity nose and is medium dry on the palate. It is refreshing, distinctive and zesty.
