Since the age of fifteen, Angus Whitehead has been making the most of the fruits of his garden. Guided by recipes handed down through generations, many experiments were created using all sorts of soft and hard fruit – the airing cupboard was never the same again! The hobby grew for a few more years until it was time to think seriously about the future. Small-scale production developed with a local cider company but within a short time Angus saw the potential growth opportunities and in 2003 he decided to go it alone.
A strong cider made from apples with a high sugar content, pressed from hand-picked Hampshire grown apples including Worcester and Cox. Gently pasteurised and unfiltered. No added water, sugar, colours or preservatives helps ensure a flavour that’s straight from the press.

Welcome to Newton Court Cider, the home of lovingly made Herefordshire Cider and Perry. Paul’s cidery started out as an experiment to turn a passion into a living. As people got more and more excited by the cider, Paul started to get serious! Paul cares about cider and he cares about his farm. If you visit you can ask him to see the orchard your Gasping Goose came from or to see the oldest perry tree on the farm.
First press is a medium still traditional fruity cider.
